YOJANA : Policy Simulation Challenge

EDNITA is back again with yet another competition which will help you to get hands-on experience in policymaking and pave to develop an approach, thought process and attitude like an officer.
We are organizing a Policy-Making Competition,
"YOJANA"
under series #Skillmorphosis ,which is open to all UPSC Aspirants. It strives to make aspirants think critically and creatively to solve real challenges faced by Indian background with their optimal solutions.
It aims to encourage young minds to come up with innovative policy solutions and contribute to the debate.
What is a Policy Brief?
A policy brief presents a concise summary of information that can help readers understand, and likely make decisions about, government policies. Policy briefs may give objective summaries of relevant research, suggest possible policy options, or go even further and argue for a course of action. It could be aimed at policymakers and other stakeholders interested in formulating and influencing policy.
The Policy Brief is thus an action-oriented tool.
A Policy Brief could be structured in the following way:
Title
Executive Summary/ abstract
Context or Scope of the Problem
Policy Alternatives
Policy Recommendations
Consulted or Recommended Sources
General instructions:
📍Aspirants can participate in a team of not more than 3.
📍Plagiarism shall be strictly dealt with and might lead to your disqualification.
📍The competition shall be conducted in two rounds:
a. Policy Brief Submission
b. Presentation to judges
Policy Brief Submission Guideline:
📍A case study will be sent to the registered participants or teams through mail on
The case study will contain a situation with problem(s).
📍Participants or teams would have to formulate a policy to solve situations.
📍Language of the can be both English and Hindi.
📍Word Limit of the Policy Brief will be 3000 words.
📍 Policy Brief must be submitted in PDF format only.
📍Policy Brief must be mailed to us with subject as: [Ednita] Policy Brief Submission {Team Name}
📍The Policy Brief must not be plagiarized. Only the original Policy Briefs will be considered for
selection.

Presentation Guidelines:
📍 Teams or participants of shortlisted policy briefs informed over an email are only eligible for this round.
📍 A PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) is to be delivered on
📍PPT should not be of more than 30 slides
📍Presentation to judges will be of 8+2 minutes
